Get Ready to Fight Reloaded – A Reflection on Neotokoushi and Pranaay
Get Ready to Fight is the third full-length album by South Korean rap group Big Bang. It was released in March of 2021 through Big Bang’s Korean record label, Big Star Entertainment. The music is largely based on old and traditional hip-hop, but incorporates a wide range of sounds, ranging from trap to reggaeton. Its main theme, which is titled “I’m Gonna Get Ready to Roll Up,” is interspersed throughout the songs with a series of shooting and death metal clips. It’s interesting to see what influences were taken from the old west, graffiti, old movies, and music videos.
With its distinctive hook, “I’m Gonna Get Ready to Roll Up,” seems like it might be a Big Bang song, but in actuality it is not. The instrumental, which is performed by rappers Yeezy and Swavee, provides the hook and that is where the song gets its name. The beat is played at the beginning, and then there is just the voice speaking over it. While some people think this is just background music for Yeezy and Swavee’s section of Get Ready to Fight, there are others who have noticed that the song is also a great opportunity for a Get Ready to Fight Ringtone Download!
This song gets its name from two different battle lines from old western movies. The first line from the chorus is, “And if you run ’round the bend, I’ll be there to greet you.” This was used by General Walker, the leader of the Texas frontier force, to draw more men to his side. Afterward, in his famous quote, he tells his men, “Let’s get ’round the bend and have a good time.” If this were not enough, the Get Ready To Fight reloaded lyrics suggest that the cowboy hat bandit is ready to take on the bad guys: “You better be on your game or I’ll wipe out this outfit!”
Get Ready to Fight – Reloaded has both a male and female version of this song, and they go by two different names depending on which version is selected. In one of them, the female’s name is Sarah (or Sarasota) Banks, while the male version is called Pranaay feat. Yeezy. Both versions have the same fighting words and phrases at the beginning, and the lyrics focus on gun shots and being shot “like a man.”
Another interesting aspect of Get Ready to Fight – reloaded lyrics also talk about how guns should be used in order to bring down a bad guy. The song is also about the need for courage in a person, as well as the need to have self-confidence. A good example is when the lyrics talk about how the baddest of the bad would enter the arena with a “big gun” and bring “the kingdom down upon its knees,” then the good people of Ganges will rush to protect the poor “little man.”
Interestingly, Pranaay feat. Yeezy features an extra track that wasn’t included on the regular release, titled Baaghi 3. In it, the original singer describes how the original Get Ready to Fight Ringtones were used to lure people in and fight them before they could enter the arena. He further explains that the Baaghi was used as a distraction, and not necessarily to attack opponents. Instead, the Baaghi allows the crowd to come up to Pranaay in order to offer him words of encouragement.
It’s interesting to note that the original Get Ready to Fight Ringtones featured the original instruments used in the original composition. There are strings in Baaghi 3, and Pranaay also played the ukulele. Although Get Ready to Fight was not officially a comeback album, it does feature original material, which is definitely a step in the right direction. The original artists themselves were pretty happy with the way things turned out. They were able to record a few new songs, and even got to work with some of their old idols.
The whole thing is rather inspiring. It’s easy to see how Get Ready to Fight went from being a completely different concept to a completely different concept. Pranaay was given the reins again, and is now enjoying immense popularity among his fans. The original artist returned to his day to day routine, and didn’t really pay much attention to what was happening around him. However, we can look at the success of Get Ready to Fight Reloaded in a different way… as proof that artists can still make a go of it even if they have been relegated to the background for a while.
